1. Qaitbay Citadel 

The Qaitbay citadel uses stones from the ancient Alexandria lighthouse which were destroyed during the 702 AH earthquake to construct its building at the site of the lighthouse. The Sultan Al-Ashraf Abu Al-Nasr Qaitbay built the structure in 882 AH and completed construction work two years later in 884 AH.
