Itinerary
You should check into the Blue Shadow Nile Cruise after arriving in Luxor and stay on board until lunchtime. Your first sightseeing destination should be the Karnak Temple, which stands as one of the largest temple complexes throughout the world, and then you should proceed to the Luxor Temple, which showcases ancient Egyptian architectural design. After your tours, you will return to the cruise for dinner on board, which will take place during your night stay in Luxor along the Nile.
After breakfast, you should go to the Valley of the Kings, which served as the burial site for ancient pharaohs, and then visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. The cruise will return to Edfu while passengers have lunch and afternoon tea on board the ship. You will spend your day watching the Nile scenery while you take a peaceful evening cruise, which will lead to your overnight stay on the river.
You must visit the Temple of Horus, standing in Edfu, representing one of the most complete ancient temples of Egyptian civilization that has come through time well preserved into the modern age. Your exploration will show you the double temple of Kom Ombo, much in honor of the dualistic deities of Sobek and Horus. Your dinner taking place on the ship will see you sail through the fabled waterway until you reach your berth, where you will spend the night on board.
Your exploration begins when you arrive in Aswan to visit the High Dam, which you will see before you go to the Unfinished Obelisk, an ancient construction site that remains incomplete. The Philae Temple, dedicated to Isis, exists as a beautiful temple that you should visit after your current activities. The Philae Temple offers an optional sound and light show in the evening. The cruise will bring us back to the ship for dinner and an overnight stay on board in Aswan.
After breakfast, leave the cruise and be transferred to Aswan Airport or the train station for onward travel. An Abu Simbel excursion can be arranged on request.
