Itinerary

1
Day 1: Arrival in Esna & Start of the Dahabiya Nile Cruise

When you reach Esna, you'll meet our representative there and be transferred to the Nour El Din Dahabiya Nile Cruise for embarkation. After check-in, you can settle into your comfortable cabin and then attend a quick welcome briefing with a refreshing drink. During that moment, you'll get the cruise itinerary details as well as the safety guidelines.

You will then start your Dahabiya Nile cruise from Luxor, heading towards Aswan, sailing past the lovely village of El Hegz, and you can also watch how the scenery keeps shifting along the Nile. In the evening, taste a freshly cooked dinner onboard while relaxing with those calm river panoramas. You will spend the night on board while you are at El Hegz.

2
Day 2: El Kab Tombs & Edfu Temple Visit

Take your breakfast out on the deck and just sail along the Nile toward El Kab; it’s an ancient place, you know, with some very striking archaeological sites. Head to the Tombs of El Kab, where the preserved hieroglyphs and wall paintings kind of show you how ancient Egyptians thought, how everyday living looked, and what customs were important.

Then go back to the Nour El Din Dahabiya Nile Cruise for a calm lunch on board, still moving onward toward Edfu. Stop for a visit to the amazing Edfu Temple, which is considered one of Egypt’s best-kept temples, and it is dedicated to Horus, the falcon-headed god. Your guide will talk through the temple’s past, its construction style, and why it mattered in religious life.

After that, keep sailing to a lovely Nile island near Edfu; there you’ll have a special barbecue dinner along with traditional music and entertainment. Spend the night on the island, letting the quiet Nile scenery sort of sink in while you relax.

3
Day 3: Bisaw Island & Gebel El Silsila Exploration

Start your morning onboard the Nour El Din Dahabiya Nile cruise, with breakfast served on the deck and the Nile scenery right there, like a constant postcard. You’ll be sailing towards Bisaw Island, a calm place where you can try traditional fishing, using local boats and familiar techniques. It’s the kind of spot that gives you a genuine glance at everyday life along the river.

After lunch, still on board, you continue sailing to Gebel El Silsila, which is among Egypt’s most important ancient sandstone quarry sites. There you can wander through the impressive rock-cut chapels, the carved details, and the remaining traces that show the skill of the ancient Egyptian builders. It feels almost quiet in a historical way.

Then carry on to a quiet Nile island where the Dahabiya anchors for the night. Have dinner onboard, and just let the tranquil river surroundings do their thing, without rushing anything.

Day 4: Kom Ombo Temple, Daraw Market & Arrival in Aswan

Have breakfast on the deck as you sail along the Nile, heading for Kom Ombo. Take a moment to drop by the striking Kom Ombo Temple; it is kind of a special double temple meant for the crocodile deity Sobek and the falcon-headed god Horus. There you will see the architecture up close, ancient carvings, and the story behind this remarkable riverside sanctuary, sort of like everything still feels alive.

Then keep going with the Nour El Din Dahabiya Nile Cruise towards Daraw. This is a traditional Egyptian town, and it’s famous for an actual local market that feels very real. Wander through Daraw Market, and you might find vivid spices, fresh produce, and handmade crafts, each one reflecting everyday life and Upper Egyptian culture.

After that, go back to the Dahabiya for lunch while sailing onwards to Aswan. You will reach Aswan in the evening, have dinner on board, and get ready for your overnight stay with the beautiful Nile scenery all around you, just calm and quiet.

5
Day 5: Departure from Aswan

Enjoy your final breakfast on board the Nour El Din Dahabiya Nile Cruise while taking in those last lingering views along the Nile. After breakfast, it is time to disembark and say goodbye to the crew after what was truly a memorable run through Upper Egypt.

Then you will be transferred to your selected place in Aswan, be it that you carry on staying in the city, or you go see a few more attractions, or you’re simply moving on to your next stop in Egypt.
