Before you begin your journey through Upper Egypt, you will be served a relaxing high tea. Your first stop will be at the Kom Ombo Temple, a fascinating double temple with an adoration of two god Sobek, god of fertility and protection, with a crocodile head; and Horus the Elder, god of kingship and authority, with a falcon's head.
Sail on to Edfu Temple, one of the most interesting temples in Egypt. It was constructed during the Ptolemaic period, between 237 and 57 BC, and is renowned for its impressive carvings and inscriptions. The inscriptions within Edfu Temple provide a fascinating and unique insight into Egyptian religion, myth, and language of the Hellenistic period and mark it as one of the most prominent monuments to explore along the river.
